Switching Gears

It always takes me a little while to switch gears... going back and forth from BC to Alberta.

I transition from:
The coast to the prairie
Downtown living to suburbia
Husband working from home to husband gone all day
No family to grandma mode
One studio to the other
And last but not least....one project to the other, as I try not to bring projects back and forth.

I told myself just to go into the studio....and see what happens.

I managed one block....for Rachel's Quilt. Hopefully that's all it takes me to get back into the zone. Only one more block to go!!!

  1. I love the black/white striped fabric. I've used some of the same as an inner border of a quilt, using just the part of the stripe that didn't have color: http://penny-studionotes.blogspot.com/2013/07/four-patch-stacked-posie-quilts.html. I've got quite a bit left, and your quilt helps me think of other ways to use it.

  3. Very cool! You have the most wonderful fabric! Thanks to your inspiration, I bought some Kaffe Fassett shot cottons, now waiting for the inspiration to use them. I would love to see a photo of your stash.

    1. Thanks.....I'm afraid it would take several photos to cover the amount of fabric I have.
