Insomnia Induced Colour Craze

What does a quilter do when they can't sleep??

Produce slightly off colour  colour crazy blocks.

I couldn't sleep so I thought I would start my Free Bee Block for July. After seeing Lynne's spectacular block here.....I was all hyped up for this months I guess it's Lynne's fault that I'm up at 3:30 in the morning.

Maybe I'll like the colours better in daylight.....whoops that could be anytime soon.

  1. That's right, if in doubt, blame Lynne! That's what I do anyway :-) Like the block though, worth the sleepless night!

  2. ooooh yum. Are these blocks fun to make OR WHAT???!!!

  3. Another amazing block
I'll need to hunt out fabric and make mine next week - visitors this weekend

  4. I love them already. some of the most creative inventions are born in the wee hours of the morning.

  5. It is so fun, I hope to make mine tomorrow. A nice new colourbox might have arrived yesterday by fedex here at the coast...

  6. WEll, I would glady give up some sleep if I could produce great 'stuff' like this block!!

Sorry for your insomnia, but glad you created some great eye candy!!

  7. love love the color combination
    feel inspired!

  8. Love the block. I've been so tempted to quilt when I can't sleep but then I know it will just keep me up longer. Way too stimulating for my brain. Maybe next time I'll try sewing instead of reading.

  9. You handle sleeplessness extremely well, judging by that glorious color combination and cutting & restructuring!

  10. I really like those colours together - and it's not the middle of the night! I design blocks in my sleepless moments,so glad it isn't just me.

  11. omg, I was up till 3:30 myself last night working on my strip quilt. Who knew?? LOL
