I'm still just playing around with the slivers....I thought I'd just try out a QAYG (stitch and flip) block, before committing to a full fledged project.

ReplyDeleteI'm working on some "improv" blocks and wanted to insert some narrow "slivers" into the blocks - but slicing the block, inserting a narrow strip, then pressing everything is a huge pain. The blocks are NOT wanting to lay flat because of all the seams on the reverse.

Not even the author shows anything about it on her site: What a shame! I am doing the BOM for my guild this year and I chose the folded fabric theme (3 dimensional) and this new twist fits right in. ReplyDeleteBecause of this awesome piece, I downloaded the book from Google Books for around $9-$10.00 (great deal). One thing about Google books though, you cant download them to your computer, but can to a device or read online. (not afilitated--I wish!)
